JULY 16

Fend is chill and lovely. I have a soft spot for them because they were at my first show (or like, I dunno the first local show that kicked all this shit shit off) and they don’t play super often but they’re a really nice time. Cloudland is lovely. I have to imagine that the other bands are fun, mutant disco is a genre I must admit I’m curious about, and we’re having a real art rock renaissance lately it feels. I’m probably skipping this one because I had another thing that I’m also flaking on to do a third thing but yanno, never say never.

JULY 18

Dog Gamn has my heart ever since their album release show pulled in like, 5 other truly astonishing acts for a killer night of music at the (tragically closing soon) Palmers. You may remember it as the night I ate 8 hotdogs. I know I do. 331 is usually free, and this one will be too. It’s a great space, very casual vibes, and this should be a really good evening to sit and listen. It’s gonna fuckin go late so buckle the fuck up. If, however, easy listening at a nicely air conditioned bar ain’t your vibe and you’re looking to mosh in someone’s basement, may I present…

ALSO THAT SAME DAY (july18)

Ok actually I’m reading her instagram post about it and it sounds like this one is supposed to be a little more sedate and “country” focused anita velveeta sound. I dunno about all that, I saw the feral baying crowd of angry young dolls at the last Anita Velveeta show and I suspect there’s probably still gonna be some moshing. Come check out one of the last shows at Pink Place, come see Fend if you missed em earlier this week, I’ve heard great things about Malamiko (august1showgetreadyforaugust1show)… basically it’s gonna be nice. I will almost for shore be at this one, this is your pick if you wanna say hi to me.

Also, I realize some of these shows are DM FOR ADDRESS or whatever. All of the bands on the shows are happy to give you the address on insta, or like… I dunno dm me on discord or whatever and I can hook you up. I don’t want that to be an impediment to you getting to a show!

JULY 19

This is the big one this week, and yet I might not even make it. I have a thing at 7 so I might come for the first half. I could try and shout out the artists like usual but there’s gonna be like a billion. I’ve seen like 5 of them and they’re all good, the other ones are probably also good. Go to this show and meet people and hang out and have good fun times. There’s gonna be like vendors and stuff too, I dunno. Support TCTMA.
