Hey gang. Good news is I got a job. Other good news is I’ve been like. Pretty insanely busy. Not even cuz of the job thing, I’ve just been sucking and fucking to a wild degree. And other stuff I suppose. Mostly the bizarre sex though.
Anyways, I need to get back to writing. And you fuckers need to get back to going to shows. And there’s some GOOD shows coming this month. They are as follows:
OCT 9: Students for a Democratic Society Benefit Show at Pillar Forum. SLOG, Anita Velveeta, Fend, and One Big Quilt. Four bands with wildly different vibes and sounds but they’re all amazing, so. Probably show up to this one.
OCT 10: Critterthing and Mary Jam. Go to it. I’m gonna miss this one because of being cuffed to a radiator and I think that’s basically the only valid excuse.
OCT 13: You get Lovergirl and Slut Intent at one show, you lucky dogs! And at Pillar Forum??? Go and get screamed at, loser.
OCT 15: YOU GUYS. FUCKING VELOUR TOMB. THEY’RE SO GOOD. And they’re hard to catch in action. And it’s cloudland! October is Velour Tomb season. Get you some.
OCT 17: Fundraiser for Pillar but it’s at Bauhaus. Don’t go to Pillar. It’s at Bauhaus. Anyhoo, when was the last time you got to see Kyrie Nova and the Defiant? It’s been a while, right? She teaches my dad guitar, isn’t that fun? Anyways also doll chaser and also blue driver and also joe bartel (don’t sleep on joe bartel, there’s some songs what make u cry in there).
OCT 18: Psybiscus is djing at szn2. All hands the fuck on deck. Dark fantasy rave might mean kinda dungeon synth sound? I dunno. I think it’s gonna be good.
OCT 19: Still haven’t had enough? I bet not, you dirty dogs. MALAMIKO. They’re playing at New World. I don’t know any of these other bands but Malamiko is worth price of admission on their own.
OCT 21: An actual dungeonsynth show! Jenn Taiga still hasn’t come back, but Desolation Plains is fucking rad. It’s gonna be a very spooky season vibe.
OCT 24: More of all that good stuff. Fend and Blue Driver and One Big Quilt, and the final show from The Briefly Gorgeous. It’s probably at Seward unless they’ve exploded by then.
OCT 30: I dunno, I’ll probably do a second post the second half of the month because I know the back end of this month will have hella shows. But! One of them you might consider going to is this one. Gauze and Blue Driver are rad. Mary Jam is like. KIIIIIIILLLLER. Killed by Kiwis seem like very nice people.
OCT 31: Blood rave happening at a warehouse. Psybiscus is there. there’s gonna be fake blood and costumes and stuff. cmoooonnnnnnn.
AND! INTRODUCING A NEW SEGMENT! Hurtquake corner. Transfemme.gay is an official unofficial affiliate of Hurtquake and we want you to stop here second or maybe third for all your hurtquake news. In Hurtquake news: They’re playing two shows this month, one at prophouse on the 17th and one on October 30th at Bumbling Fools with Snakeworld and Tonal Whiplash. That’s gonna be a silly fucking show. Go to that one! And if you go see a hurtquake show because of me, tell them I sent you! I want Hurtquake to continue liking me :)
Ok, I’m keeping it manageable today, because then I’ll actually finish it and have it put up. But basically, tell people we’re back up.
