Ok so the health issues continue on and off. In the times when my body is cooperating, I’ve been having some fucking adventures. Here’s some shows coming up so you can have adventures. Please come to the shows. Is gud for your soul.
April 3: Two choices. Whispered the Rabbit comes recommended from Debbie. If you know you know. Cloudland keeps delivering amazing little niche shows (Velour Tomb was fucking killer and yall fucking missed out). If you’re not feeling instrumental folk, you can instead catch Blue Driver at Pillar Forum. Blue Driver is very good. The first band shirt I bought in this new phase of my life was a one of theirs. They make music that makes me grin like an idiot. Also Pillar is a chill spot.
April 5: Ok, so one of the adventures I didn’t keep you all posted on was the Nonmonogamous Sapphic T4T Therian Blood Rave that happened at SZN2 last month. And I apologize for that because I had one of the best nights of my life there. SZN2 is having another banger of a show, and if you are a weird little freak you might enjoy the Species Dysphoria Noise Show. I may or may not go, I owe a lot of people my sunday nights these days but like. The SZN2 shows are healing. Check em out.
April 11: New World is having everyone in the world play. You should check it out. I know I won’t be at this one. It’s still gonna be a good time. New World kicks ass.
April 15: or technically a lot of days in April. Prairie Clamor has a residency at Morts this month, so every wednesday they’re playing a show. They bring a laser light machine and stuff. They’re really fun and silly. I’m highlighting the April 15 show because Magenta Vice will also be there. Magenta Vice makes ‘dork music’. They fucking rip. You should be at this show. I will probably be really really high.
April 20: SPEAKING OF being really high and SZN2 they’re having a 420 show. You don’t want to miss this one. Come to this show. Manny is gonna fuuuuuuck. Also Dog Gamn is amazing and like, honestly a pretty huge get.
April 22: YO HOLY FUCK this one is mandatory also. Lovergirl. Melpomene. Pillar Forum. Show the fuck up. There’s a Gauze show that same night at Underground Music Venue if you like, have beef with melpomene or something.
April 23: Slog and Chemsexx, and fucking Anita Velveeta. If you like getting fucked up in the pit, this is the show. It’s gonna go hard. It’s at Pillar. This one very likely will sell out. Get tickets in advance.
April 24: Another Melpomene show, at Underground Music Venue. I know it doesn’t show it on the poster but this one is on the 24th, ok? Trust me, I know this stuff. That’s why you’re coming here to read it. Or you could go see the Mary Jam release show. Every band on that bill has intense and powerful lesbian energy. Or you could go see Desolation Plains. Dungeon Synth is chill. If we all pray hard enough Jenn Taiga will come back to minnesota.
April 25: Non-local band alert. Femtanyl is playing a show at the Amsterdam. God willing I will be there on someone’s leash.
augh fuck shit last minute edit. April 26 is also a penis rave at szn2. I think I’m gonna submit some videos of genitalia that might get projected on the back wall. Come to the penis rave.
April 28: Admiral Fox! Yay! At Pillar! Wow!
